Thanks and new show announced!

Thanks for everyone who joined us at the Double Door last weekend...it was great to see so many friendly faces and meet some new ones. All of the bands rocked and the place was packed...good times! We've just been added to an upcoming show at the UIC Hillel on March 5th, so in case you missed us at the Double Door we'll be back in the 'hood soon. Check the shows page for complete details!

We're impatient...

We just couldn't wait to rock, so instead of waiting for the Double Door show, we're coming to you 2 weeks early. Join us at Otto's in Dekalb on Friday, February 4th along with our good friends The 9 Spot and Dropped Once. Otto's is always a good time, even if one of us has to go to the emergency room to get stitches after being accidentally hit by another one of our members with a beer bottle. Not that something like that would happen or ever has happened. I'm just sayin...

We're baaaa--aack!!!

Not that we really went anywhere. We were just lurking in the shadows and you had to know where to find us. But now it won't be hard to find us, because on Saturday February 19th we will be playing a monstrously huge show with Midwest favorites, The Lovehammers, and Redshirt. at one of our favorite spots, the Double Door. (Schryver got extra excited because he thought we said "Double Deuce," that totally excellent bar from the movie Road House, but we cleared it up for him.) Anyway, this show is going to be so big, Ticketmaster is even listing it on their site. Not that Ticketmaster didn't list the show we played little Joey's Bar Mitzvah, and not that it wasn't huge either, but I think you know what I mean. More to come...

Closing out '04

Hey there!! Remember us? Good...we sure remember, and miss, all of you. You may or may not be asking yourself, "What happened to those sexy, silly guys in DAB?" The answer is quite simple....EVERYTHING. We here at Camp DAB have been extremely busy with the daily grind, but fear not, we still plan to rock just as hard as we ever have in the upcoming year. We have a new practice space, a new outlook on songwriting, and a "fresh start". We all came to remember why we do this, and once the holidays have passed, and all the craziness that goes along with it is over, we plan to regroup and hit it hard. We want you guys to come along for the ride.

I could do the cliché thing here and type out a boring list of everything that was cool, everything that was lame, the unbelievable, the undeniable and the downright ridiculous of 2004, but you can go anywhere and get that. Instead, I am inviting anyone who is reading this to write to me at katz@drawingablank.net to tell me what you thought was "all that" in 2004 and I will do the same. I realize you would have to be bored out of your mind to do this, but hey, if you are reading this...then you really have nothing to do anyways. You can also go to our message board and post there. I am sure a lively discussion will ensue.

Rocktober is upon us...

Come on now. You didn't think you were gonna get away with visiting the DAB site in October without a Rocktober reference, did ya?

After our last great Chicago show at the House of Blues, join us this Saturday at one of our favorite haunts, the Elbo Room. Joining us on stage will be our longtime friends the YesMen and The Jesters- a show you don't want to miss! Mission Creep gets things started at 10pm.

Thanks to all who came and supported us at the legendary House of Blues. What an incredible time. Because of you guys coming out like you did, we made a great impression there on the powers that be and with any luck they will probably want to have us back there again.

For those of you down in Champaign (who without a doubt have not seen us in a while) we are coming down to the Courtyard Cafe in the Illini Union on SEPT 25 with our brothers in Roscoe Plush. We will have our new shirts as well as the new "For the Life of Me" EP with us.
